NAO: So, I managed to get up to 1,667 words the other day and I'm about to do the same thing today. I haven't been able to log in to the NaNoWriMo website; yesterday they said they had an 'unprecedented amount' of people that visited the homepage, which makes sense because I could barely navigate away from the front page after it took me a few minutes to actually load it. I'm going to try and log in today, and hopefully I will be successful.
I don't think I've said anything about my novel for this year. Well, my novel is based off of a dream that I had, much like my last NaNo story, but this time it's about a boy that has long ears, much like a bunny rabbits, only they're scaly like a reptiles. He was captured by a secret organization, only to find out that even THEY don't know what he is. Along the way he escapes with the help of a mysterious man, and their adventures continue. The reason why I don't have much information to give you is because even I don't know what will happen next--my dream didn't last that long and I have no idea what I want to do for the plot, so for now we'll just see how this goes.

NaNoWriMo 2010 Is Here!

BEX: W00t! So last I checked I had about 700+ words so far. I'm going to try and get at least 1600 tonight before bed so that I can at least be on track!
I decided to write about a college student's first year at college and how she is writing a guide on surviving college! How exciting for me! I've got my epic music on, and I've got my Google doc open so I can even write at school! =)
So my NaNo tip is this- if you're using a computer make sure you back your novel up EVERYWHERE. If you have a flash drive back it up on there. save it to your word docs, save it to google docs, email it to yourself. DON'T LET A TRAGIC COMPUTER ACCIDENT ERASE YOUR NOVEL! scary stuff that is!
Anyways, back to my writing! 50k here I come!

NAO: HaHA! It's finally here! I'm getting a little pumped now, but I'm still lacking in terms of story plot. I've just started and I only have a max of 455 words so far. I might continue more later tonight, but for now I'm at a point in the story where I don't feel like writing any more. So, I've heard that if you want to reach 50,000 words by the end of 30 days, if you can write 1,667 words every day for a month you will reach your goal. I haven't done the math for myself, so I don't know if that's the exact word count, but I'm going to try it out. Last year I just wrote when I could and didn't pay attention that much to the days that passed by, and there were times where I didn't write at all. Maybe if I stick to a schedule I'll actually finish this time. Well, only time will tell.

1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you’ve worked with and why.
Oh goodness, well I bounce back and forth between projects quite alot! Currently I'm in the process of last year's NaNo novel, and writing/drawing a comic called MMOwned, and soon to be starting a new novel for this year's NaNo! But if I had to pick my favorite I'd say my MMOwned project is my favorite, because I get to draw my story and see it come alive =)
2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
In MMOwned? I have about three so far that are introduced, but I plan to add about three more for the first big story line and then another character as a villain for the next big story line! And I prefer females because I am female and it's easier to write what a female experiences seeing as I AM one xD

3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you’re writing about fictional places)?
Most of the time I just make them up. But if I'm stumped I'll go to SeventhSanctum.com, which is a database for a TON of cool name generators! If I still can't find anything good I look up baby names and their meanings.

4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!
The first completed one that I remember was called The Adventures of Zane and Riku, and it was about two fifteen-year olds (brother and sister apparently) who bought their own space ship (it had a name, but I can't remember anymore) and traveled the galaxy and went to all these different planets and got cool things for being heros (such as Riku weilded the power of fire, and Zane was given a hover board) and they picked up a friend named Antoni (who they just called Ant. And he looked like one too...) and then their other brother and sister (who were also fifteen apparently? Everyone's just fifteen I guess.. xD) came and challenged them to a dule type thing for their space ship and Zan, Riku and Ant lost and had to travel with the intergalactic bus-station type thing to go back to earth where their parents bought them another more better ship... In short it was just really weird and hilarious now that I think about it xDDD
5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about “youngest” and “oldest” in terms of when you created them?
comparing my first story to MMOwned Lukas from MMOwned is oldest as she is 21, and Rikku/Zane would be the youngest, being fifteen. In terms of when I created them it would be vice versa!
6. Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol’ pen and paper?
Almost anywhere, as long as I'm not near a television, since I get distracted easily. I can write at any time of day, and I'm used to doing that now that I'm in college and sort of have to write all the time and in places I probably never really would have sought out... And I prefer to write on paper so that when i transfer it to the computer it can be corrected, but with NaNo I'll use the computer so I can get the word count and etc.
7. Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?
Sure, I just listen to all kinds really, parodies, rap, rock, classical, japanese... it's all there!
8. What’s your favorite genre to write? To read?
Fantasy and fantasy =) Or sci-fi, but the kind of sci fi that's mostly fantasy xDDD
9. How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.
Well I start drawing. usually if I can put an image on paper I can link a story or personality in my head to that character and then I put them somewhere. Then I find a good and sizable character application online somewhere and just fill it out!
10. What are some really weird situations your characters have been in? Every thing from serious canon scenes to meme questions counts!
Um... Lukas and Kell were both in rehab for gamers?
11. Who is your favorite character to write? Least favorite?
Garthan from my NaNo novel last year was fun to write for, and Jinx was the hardest (I won't say least favorite, because they're all my favorite xD) because I never felt like I was getting into her character enough. She was supposed to be mean and cold and then sometimes she would be downright nice. and I thought she was maybe a little schizo.

12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of world building? Any side-notes on it you’d like to share?
Ummm I think in Tales of Prosperoty (although it needs a lot of work still) I did the best. although I wasn't very creative with the names of places...
13. What’s your favorite culture to write, fictional or not?
Magic culture?
14. How do you map out locations, if needed? Do you have any to show us?
Oh, I don't. I just let things be vague or imagined.
15. Mid way question! Tell us about a writer you admire, whether professional or not!
Hmmm I admire Bryon Davis, from the Dragons in Our Midst series because he did such an excellent job blending king Arthur lore with dragon lore with modern day with the Bible!
16. Do you write romantic relationships? How do you do with those, and how “far” are you willing to go in your writing?
Yes, but I prefer to keep it PG-13 at the most. I mean, characters deserve privacy too!

17. Favorite protagonist and why!
Garthan! The Magik Man with the magik of Summer! Um because he's like the coolest guy ever, and he was the guy my first NaNo novel was about!
18. Favorite antagonist and why!
Vernacious, the evil Head Mage!! Because he's fun to write, even though he's a little scary 0.0
19. Favorite minor that decided to shove himself into the spotlight and why!
Jinx, because I let her xD like I didn't mean for her to even get in the story but she just sort of jumped in and start helping the main character out and then suddenly it turned out she has to do with a major part of the plot!
20. What are your favorite character interactions to write?
The ones between Jinx and Garthan, they argue a lot lol.
21. Do any of your characters have children? How well do you write them?
Ummm no. They're all usually single and a little older than me at the time that I write them xD
22. How long does it usually take you to complete an entire story—from planning to writing to posting (if you post your work)?
oh gosh. Forever. If I even get it finished at all!! I'm not even halfway to the middle yet in my last NaNo story!
23. How willing are you to kill your characters if the plot so demands it? What’s the most interesting way you’ve killed someone?
it's HARD to kill characters... but... I'll do it if the plot needs it... and I killed two secondary characters in a house fire. Garthan's parents.
24. Do any of your characters have pets? Tell us about them.
um... nope. not really.

oh yes, especially when your character's hair is a shocking neon green with purple eyes! (Jinx)

most of my characters have psychological problems/trauma if that counts....

NAO: 1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you’ve worked with and why.
My favorite would have to be when I did NaNoWriMo last year, because it was one of the most detailed stories I'd ever done. I put a lot of thought into the characters, I did research, I made sketches of the houses and a map of one of the lakes...good times.
2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
There are FAR too many to count. I have at least 10 different stories that are unfinished, all with different kinds of personalities. The majority of my characters are female, because it's easier to relate to them, me being a girl.
3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you’re writing about fictional places)?
Usually I give characters names based on their personality. for example, if they're a tomboy, I give them a girly name but one that can be substituted with a nickname like Alex. And if I'm writing fictional places, I find a letter that happens to sound good with my character in mind, and then I come up with a strew of words at the end, like Faron or Raelow.
4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!
One of my first characters was a girl whom I can't remember the name of. She went to stay at her grandparents' house and she made friends with a beautiful horse and was going to enter a horse-racing competition to earn money for her parents to get a new house. She was...an interesting character in that she was very flat and boring.
The only story that I've actually COMPLETED is about a tomboy that has a reputation at her school for beating up boys because the boy that she liked made fun of her when she confessed to him that she liked him and punched him in the face.
5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about “youngest” and “oldest” in terms of when you created them?
By age, Cora from "Mirror Glass Lake", my NaNoWriMo story was the youngest. She was supposedly 12 or 13 when the book started, but around the middle I changed her age to 15 because fifteen-year-olds are easier to handle XD
My oldest character would be Alex, from my book trilogy, The trouble with Boys. At the end, her birthday is before all of her friends, who are all the same age anyway. She's 18 and a Senior in High school.
The oldest character I've created would be a girl who has a dog that turns into a human after he wishes on a star. I made a story similar to that when I was little, and once I grew older I wanted to turn it into a novel, and so Sam and Kyle (The dog) were born. Again. The youngest character I've created would be Belle from my version of Beauty and the Beast. THe story is still a work in progress.
6. Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol’ pen and paper?
I'm most comfortable writing on my bed at night on a nice sheet of paper and a pen. But most of the time, I take my stories with me and write whenever and wherever I feel like it.
7. Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?
I do listen to music, and I listen to all kinds but when I'm writing a story I tend to listen to inspirational Orchestral music. I even have a playlist named like that specifically for writing purposes. I don't generally apply songs to my characters because I don't listen to lyrics when I write, I listen to tunes because I'm a music person and I love orchestral works.
8. What’s your favorite genre to write? To read?
My favorite would have to be Modern Day Teen Romantic-Comedy Fiction. My favorite to read is fantasy and Modern Day Teen Romantic-Comedy Fiction XD As well as British Romantic Comedy.
9. How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.
First I think about what genre I want to write. Then I think of a name, and once I have the name, the character kinda starts to have a mind of their own.

...it's a tie between when one of my characters found her father dead on the floor and when one of my other characters got lost in the woods, barefoot and in her swimming suit, and tried to climb a tree when she thought a bear was coming but it turned out to be her 'not' friend who happens to be over 167 years old, but she doesn't know that at the time.
11. Who is your favorite character to write? Least favorite?
My favorite character to write was Feyan from "Mirror Glass Lake", because he was an 167 year old 'boy' with naturally blue hair and he turned into a golden bird. The other character I absolutely adored was a secondary character from my first novel in my trilogy, 'The Trouble with Boys' who's name was Ben. He was a cute little boy that you couldn't help but love, and in my imagination he had an adorable face. I like all my characters, so I don't have a 'least favorite'.
12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of world building? Any side-notes on it you’d like to share?
The most worked-on story I've ever done would be "Mirror Glass Lake". It was an incredible story full of adventure and fantasy (My first full-fledged fantasy/Sci-fi) and possibly a little childish, one-side romance. It had the most detail, the most background, the most plot and the most depth in any story that I've written so far, and it involved more than just one world.
13. What’s your favorite culture to write, fictional or not?
My favorite culture to write is the fictional kind, and it tends to be either high-tech or just modern.
14. How do you map out locations, if needed? Do you have any to show us?
I usually don't map out locations, but if I feel like my story needs a definite location I only write about places I've been or lived before so I don't have to do any sort of weather research, etc.
15. Mid way question! Tell us about a writer you admire, whether professional or not!
I admire E.D. Baker for her amazing Romantic-Comedy Fantasy series, "The Frog Princess" and I admire a lot of Meg Cabot's works. I also really appreciate Jane Austen.
16. Do you write romantic relationships? How do you do with those, and how “far” are you willing to go in your writing?
Romance is practically my genre, I write so much of it. So far, I've decided to go only as far as kissing because I write nothing but sappy romances but in the future there may be some heat. But I will most definitely stop at passionate kissing ;)
17. Favorite protagonist and why!
My favorite protagonist would have to be Alex from my third novel in my trilogy because as my trilogy progresses, the books get a little bit darker and more realistic as these three groups of friends get ready to face college and life away from home and boyfriends, not to mention that the main character was raped and must face life-altering decisions in the face of her trauma, and there may be a few proposals near the end of the last book. All in all, she was the main character that I enjoyed writing about because of her angst and conflict and emotional scarring and the point at which all of her past afflictions are resolved.
18. Favorite antagonist and why!
My favorite antagonist is...oh wait, I don't have one! None of my characters ever faced a fictional antagonist, unless you count themselves being their own obstacle in life. "Mirror Glass Lake" was supposed to have one, but I never got far enough in that story to introduce them.
19. Favorite minor that decided to shove himself into the spotlight and why!
Ben, definitely. He wasn't even supposed to be in book one of the trilogy "The Trouble With Boys" but I noticed that my stories had to many 'only-children', so I added an entire scene to my story and a little extra; cue the cute little brother of your best friend that you can't help but adore.
20. What are your favorite character interactions to write?
That would be the romantic ones. I tend to write cheesy ones, but I make them as realistic as possible, which makes them 'nerdy', but that's what makes them funny and down-to-earth. Plus, I love torturing my characters with cheesy romantic lines.
21. Do any of your characters have children? How well do you write them?
Nope. I haven't written from an adult's point of view because I'm not an adult and I don't think I could pull it off.
22. How long does it usually take you to complete an entire story—from planning to writing to posting (if you post your work)?
I've only completed one novel in my life, and I haven't even typed it out on the computer yet. I have MULTIPLE stories, so it can take me anywhere between 1 to however many year. It took me at least 2 years to complete the first one.
23. How willing are you to kill your characters if the plot so demands it? What’s the most interesting way you’ve killed someone?
I always keep the option open to kill off a character. In fact, I think of death scenes for almost all of my main and secondary characters, because I actually enjoy killing them. If the plot get's boring, I like to think of dramatic ways to make it more interesting, and what's more interesting than a death scene? I usually stop reading books if a main character is killed off because I hate the author from then on, but from an author's perspective, it makes it so much more entertaining to kill them then resurrect them in the end.
I haven't officially killed a character off (Only in my mind) but if I were, my most interesting death scene would be when Feyan (Mirror Glass Lake) is knifed in the chest or gut and dies, but in the end sacrifices his magic and heritage in order to take on a human life as a normal 16 year old in our world.
24. Do any of your characters have pets? Tell us about them.
One of my characters had a pet fox, and his name was Neko, which makes no sense because 'Neko' in Japanese means cat.
25. Let’s talk art! Do you draw your characters? Do others draw them? Pick one of your OCs and post your favorite picture of him!
I tried to draw a character once, but she ended up a stick figure, and it still remains to this day in my notebook. I tried to draw her because I picture things in my head, and sometimes it's hard to describe so I would draw it out in order to help describe a scene. It never turned out how I planned.

If a character appears, it means that they appeared for a reason because I don't like to create useless characters, so almost all of the characters (Almost all!) that come in contact with the main character(s) play a big role, unless they're adults like parents. I don't technically design characters, I just put them in if it fits the story. I'm the type of person to just write and add things as I go along.
27. Have you ever written a character with physical or mental disabilities? Describe them, and if there’s nothing major to speak of, tell us a few smaller ones.
One of my main characters from "Mirror Glass Lake" is an old woman whom the main character calls "Old Fuzz". She was recovering from a surgery not long after the main character entered and was starting to become senile, which turns into the story plot little by little. The only other things I've written about are trauma, because I love it when a character is messed up.

It's Almost Here! NaNo 2010 and Intros

BEX: So, NaNo 2010 is almost upon us! It's NEXT WEEK! I'm super excited, even though I know that now that I'm a freshman in college I'm not going to have ANY time at all to really put time and thought into this, I'm still going to do it because it's my absolute FAVORITE! And the cool thing? My college is even going to have some events for it too- at least, I see flyers all around for it!
So this year it seems like it's just Nao and I for the blog, seeing as I haven't talked to Soul in longer than I can remember, and War is off at basic training! I might grab some new college friends to do this with me and get them to post on the blog, but I'm not too sure about them yet =P

Okay, well if you're new hear and just tuning in, this is where the introductions get done at the beginning of the year! So we'll start of with me!
I'm Bex, I'm 19 and a Freshman in college, I live at home and go to school every day and work on the weekends with Sunday being my biggest day off. I like to draw and make music, and my newest hobby is to SLEEP (Seriously, I sleep whenever I can now, it's not even funny!). Nao is my sister, but I'll let her tell about herself =)

I'm not prepared in the slightest, and this bothers me quite a bit, so I'm not as excited this year as I was the last time I did this with my sisters. But I'll tell you this-I believe my next story will be based off of a dream I had, just like last years' story. Bex: It's over... it's all over xD And I'm still behind xD Well December can be my finishing month xD and then it can be my editing month. NaNo WriMo of 2009 is over as of a few short hours ago! It's all very surreal to me...
I'm too lazy to put everyone elses names up today. They probably don' have anything to say anyways. And if they do they can just add it on to my post. bleh.

bex: I Second the Motion. No new ideas. No new writing. I'm still in 14k. it's a little depressing, but I think that perhaps I'll pick it back up in December. Part o me kinda knew this would happen xD, but I don't regret it because now I have a pretty awesome story idea xD. I just have to finish it... sometime soon... Bah.

Terrible Thursdays

Bex: Ughhh So I went to get fingerprinted today. And the first time I went they said they couldn't do my prints because my paperwork wasn't right. So I ran around trying to fix my paperwork, and then got Soul to drive me back to the fingerprinting place (Because I was nottt gonna drive to that scary section of town by myself!) and then the lady said her computer wasn't working and that I'd have to come back in TWO WEEKS! UGHHHH! And so today felt like a circus because I did so much running around and I STILL have school to do! UGHHH! DOUBLE UGGHHH!!! This sucks baloney. bleh.
I don't think my friends (And sister and boyfriend, but they all are included in "friends")will come back to this... Oh well.
Oh. And I won't be able to update for a while cuz I'm going out of town for nearly a week starting tomorrow. If I do update it means that I found wi-fi xDDDDDD

The Mysterious Tuesday Disappearance

Bex: Yeah um... Tuesday we all just kinda went "poof" Well actually the four of us went Christmas shopping- Nao And I actually window shopped and Soul, War, and their sister (My best frand and husband/wife XD- long story, tell ya later xD) discovered that sometimes I use very strong (sometimes inappropriate) adjectives xD Such as, "oh-em-gee, I totally lust after (insert random item here)" haha!
Anyways, so that's where we all were yesterday. I am so far behind in my word count it feels. I probably won't reach 50k until december.... In other news. I drew a girl in my pajammas. What she was doing in my pajammas I'll never know, but she made them look hot so I'm glad she could pull it off xD

Bex:Have My Little Friends Gone?
Oh where, oh where can they be? Haha, well none of my friends (Sister/boyfriend/etc.) could be described as little, but you get the picture. They have all seemingly disappeared. I'm not too worried about Soul, because I know he works late shifts, so I don't expect him to keep up with this- as for War, I don't expect him to keep up with this either, because he probably forgot about it and he's probably also got a lot more on his plate with the whole, "Getting school credit for NaNo" thing. But Nao. Nao I expected to be a little more good with this- she being my most fastidious sister, and such. But oh well.
I suppose I only keep up with this because of my excitement xD. NaNo is exciting and new and just all around wonderful to me, and so it is my excitement that fuels me to keep going. I love to get together with the ladies and gents in our region, and I love talking about my novel with everyone and anyone who will listen to me! It's just so much fun to watch my characters take on their own lives and paths and tell me how they feel about it all!
Anyways. That's all for me. I have to go get out of my PJs since I been in them all day...

Bex: Yeah, all I can say is- thank goodness it's Friday!! Now I really want chicken at like Bee-dubs... (Buffalo Wild Wings xD) I seriously wish I had money- but I came to the realization that I am broke. Like not-even-funny broke. I'll have to twist Nao's arm for gas money if she wants to go to the Harry Potter thing- and I'm gonna learn how to take the bus on Saturday because I think that's how we're getting to the Write-in in P-Town.
All for Wicked. All for Wicked... Have to keep reminding myself that- I'm doing this for the most awesome musical ever, and it's going to be awesome because meh littlest sister will be going with me as well as my two favorite cousins! Sure I'm probably not doing to drive anywhere in December, and sure I'm going to be in major debt with my parents, SURE I'll pay them interest! And why?? Because I have expensive hobbies/tastes/obsessions/etc.
I feel very un-productive this week when it comes to writing. I have all these awesome scenes in my head but because I want to write my book in order I can't write them yet so I have to slog through all the boring yet important scenes to get to them. Plus i feel like life suddenly pounced on me saying "Hey, you don't have time to ignore me to write!" and it got revenge by giving me this freakin' cold!
Speaking of colds, do you know what my mom did to me today? You know how I have this weird thing about drowning, right? Well my nose is all plugged up and she says she has something that helps. She gets this blue little kettle/pot thingy. And she puts this weird stuff in it with some warm water and then tells me to bend over the sing and turn my head sideways. AND THEN SHE POURS THE STUFF INTO MY NOSE! And it comes out the other nostril and it was just nasty and I had that drowning sensation that I hate, and sure my nasal passages were clear for all of like a minute and then my nose got back to over producing. BAH. Life.

Someone Hit Slow-Mo, Please?

Bex: WOW, I feel like it's been a month already- and it's only been almost two weeks. I need a slo-mo button on my life, man. Totally need a slo-mo button. I did end up going to the Write-In last night, but only cause I finished my school and had to pick up Nao and War anyways xDD And then I got to war with Grouchmuffin for like 20-25 minutes in the AM (Like 12:10 xDD) So I finally broke 10k! Which means I'm at 11k xD haha.
Tonight's band practice, so not much writing shall be done today. I'm really hoping that friday night I can get someone into the chat pod to war with me untill the wee hours of saturday when I shall wake Nao up to get to the Write in! Muahahaha, my eeee-vile plot shall be amazing!

War:

Nao: I'm too tired, YOU hit the Slow-Mo.
I HAVE been tired lately, and I think it's from lack of sleep. Maybe it's stress. War was saying something about how stressed I was, but I didn't want to believe him...maybe he was right. I feel extremely behind in my NaNoing and I have just barely reached 9k. It's sad. I have officially written more on teh computer than I have on my notepad so now I am no longer using the notebook. This will be difficult on Saturday, because me and Bex SHARE one computer. I may just have to resort back to the notebook again =__=
I was wrong in my last post when I said that we had nothing to do on Fridays; we were planning on going to a Harry Potter Marathon at teh library, but we're thinking of canceling that....maybe we'll just NaNo with War or something instead.
I still have a scenario in my head that I want to write badly but every time I get around to actually writing I freeze up. This obviously shows that I cave under pressure, but I plan on sitting at this computer until it is over and done with and I have at LEAST written another 1k. I don't care if it takes me until 1 AM, although it would suck if I got grounded because of it. Well hey, at least I could say I got grounded for NaNoing...>_<
.....I better get to doing some writing, huh? It's someone else's turn to hit the Slow-Mo o_o

Bex: Is not going to the Write in =(
So yeah, I can't go to the write in because tonight is my volunteer night at Fuel, where I'm a student leader. And I might not be able to even go to that if I don't get my school done... I'm behind and to make matters worse, my online economics class expired so I can't complete it! DANGIT! It stresses me out. So much so that I just poured myself a couple glasses of coffee. I don't care anymore. I will drink coffee if I want to dangit. And if my mom's worried about staining my teeth I'll just bush em till my gums bleed. I am just so beyond caring right now... Blehhhh.
The past few days have been crap with the writing, I have another dialogue to get through- and it's hard since I don't have a word war to push me to get it done.
I think it's about ready to come to a close anyways, so it shouldn't be so bad... bleh. later.

Nao: Hooray for being early
Me and War arrived at teh Panera for the write-in early. We got here at exactly 5:30....the write in starts at 6:30 XD. Anyway, we still have another few minutes before people arrive to NaNo and I just have to say...I don't like being the first persons here. A)We had to find seating and-since Panera is so packed-we could only find seating for ourselves B) We are at a disadvantage since we are located in an area where we won't be able to tell if the NaNoers enter Panera and C) we will most likely end up packing up and moving because there isn't enough seating where we are. If you couldn't already tell, I'm nervous =__=

Colds and Coughdrops.

Bex: Well, got ONE of the boys back, only to lose meh sister Nao... And where is teh boyfriend, Soul? Yeesh.
I feel so yucky lately. I might be catching a cold. It sucks baloney. Big time. And I'm behind a day in my word count! UGH! Yesterday I could NOT find the time to write, not to mention my muse just up and LEFT me when the cold came in and now I'm just trying to get her back. So in the meantime I'll write some crap that will probably be the first thing to get hacked out in December.
Dude, this random guy just jumped into my story and at first I thought he was just one of those guys who comes in and then you never learn anythign about him till maybe the sequel, but NO- he's like, got some major history with one of my main characters which in effect makes him a secondary character!
CRAZY! Anyways, I'm gonna go make some more tea. Laters.

Nao: Stress makes Nao a Bad Bunny o_o
I've been feeling a little bit under the weather myself, lately, but I'm not in desperate need of cough drops yet. Teh reason I've been gone for a little while is....well...there really is no other excuse to give except for a slightly busy week schedule. As War said in his previous posts, he was going to 'seclude himself' but that won't be the case this week. I went to his house the other day because I had orchestra practice in his area of town (I play the violin, it rocks!! >_<) and my younger sis had driver's ed there, so I was going to hang out for an hour and a half or so. Needless to say, he didn't get any writing done while I was there. Today (Tuesday) is Anime Club at our local library, which he is attending with us. on Wednesday is another NaNoWriMo write-in at a Panera in my area of town, and only me and War can make it so we're going to that at 6:30. Then on Thursday is band practice, of which I play the piano and sing occasionally. Fridays are nothing, but there's always room for scheduling writing time with buddies like War and Soul, so you never know o.o
As you can see, my week has been jam packed from beginning to end and I've found myself quite stressed out lately. Not to mention that-when I NaNo-I write using a notebook, so I haven't found time to get on and type up the rest of my story. I happened to finish typing up what I had written during last week, but it turns out that I've only written up to 7,000+ words, which pales in comparison to my own sister's 9,000+ words and my other fellow veteran NaNo writers who have already surpassed 22,000+ words. Inspiration has left me also, and so has the dedication to my writing. The cold is getting to me O_O. I only hope I can keep up this week.

Soul: lol srry i just havnt had anything to post, i havnt written anything latly cause i dont have any good ideas. so maybe ill have some ideas later i hope so but i have to work tonight so ill probly not be sleeping anytime soon

Bex: Huzzah, I'm going to participate in the hour long word war! This is gonna rawk xDD
Write-in has been pretty awesome I broke 8000+ so I'm pretty psyched, and in the word war I should be getting some pretty good numbers in!
SO I'm taking a little break to blog afore 12:30. whoo... update ya later....
Alright! Wow, it's been a long day xD my wordcount is now 9000+ which is 2000 less than I wanted, but it's totally fine, I'll catch up to that tomorreh!
So anyways, Peoria area won the word war this afternoon! And I found the Write-in to be super uber productive, and fun as well! I love meeting other writers, they're all just made of awesome to use GrouchMuffin's term xDD
Anyways, I are gonna get off. Laterz!

Where are the Boys?

Bex: Well, I don't know where our boys have got themselves to... Did some hardcore writing last night, have yet to type it up. Still behind in my goal- ah well, I shall soon catch up if I remain positive about it!
Soooo! After being woken up by War to tell him that no I cannot go to a book sale today, my grownup friend (The one I called yesterday, remember?) called me to tell me she had called her friend who works at a daycare and yes they have one position open and I can come in today to pick up an application and see the center! AHHHHH! I'm going to get a job maybe possibly almost!
Oooh and I'm taking my youngest sister to Kansas City in a few weeks so we can see Wicked with our cousins! AHHH! And I got the tickets cheaper than I expected! I'm so thrilled! And TOMORROW is the Write-In and I'm UBER excited about that! Like this whole week I've been geeking out about NaNo to anyone and everyone who will listen!
One last scream for good measure- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

War: Cave man not wanna come out to play!
Ok, so heres whats up. I think I'm going to compleatly sucluded myself from almost anything this coming week. Of course theres an Anime Convention I promised i would go to on tuesday. Other then that all I have to worry about is 15 hours of work, band prax, church and possible going to Nao's house on wendsday so I can actualy spend a day with a friend. Right so other then that I plan on spending edvery waking moment in front of my computer working on my novel.
Speeking of my Novel, I still have yet to think up a title, even one just teperrary. Lastly Im lagging in the rear with 3800 and somthing. I really need to spend more time writing.

Word Counts and Such

Bex: Well, so far my word count is 4,227- I need at least 4,000 more words to catch up to my daily goal of what it's supposed to be! I never thought writing could start to become a challenge like this... Anyways, I'm almost done with my first chapter, my character just has to come upon a shocking revelation or two and then I can start the second chapter which will be awesommmee!
So in other news, I feel really good about today because I was babysitting for my church and I only had like three kids, and I noticed this one mom hadn't come in, and she's a really great woman and she prays for me about my job situation and so I thought I'd call her today- in fact I just got off the phone with her- and ask how she was and if anyone in her family was sick. Turns out her two kids have the flu, but she was glad to just take a break and hang out with her kids all day =). And she might get me a job at a daycare! She was so tickled that I had actually called to ask after her health! Like teenagers aren't inclined to do that... Well okay maybe they're not normally, but hey, I'm not a normal teenager...
Yeah. I go type up novel now... kthnxbye.

Nao: I also haven't reached my daily goal like I'm supposed to (Today's goal being around 8,000) but then again, it's midnight, so I have the rest of the day to write another 4,000 words. That's right, my word count is up to 4,894. I still have a long ways to go, and the goals keep getting bigger and bigger, but with any luck-and a LOT of patience-I might actually catch up to the high expectations that NaNoWriMo keeps throwing out. I've come to the conclusion that the title of my novel (Mirror Glass Lake) is a bit long and I think I plan to change it in December....I THINK...it took me forever just to type up the more than 2,000 words I wrote in my notebook at least two days ago. It wasn't a lot of words to begin with and I expanded a little upon typing it up on the computer, but I'm happy to report that so far, so good. Life is tiring. We all know this to be true, and today I experienced one of the more harrowing and humiliating times in a person's life; driver's exams. I would have passed with flying colors, but due to circumstances(I accidentally ran over a curb) I was failed immediately. I took the test an hour or so later and they passed me, but not after I had spent the past hour with nothing but my thoughts telling me over and over again that I suck for failing XD. Needless to say-and to make a long story short-I now have my driver's license and I officially roam the streets. Beware. And now I must retire, because my eyes hurt and it's waaay past the time when I'm supposed to be on the computer. Happy novel-writing. ;P

Anyways, I think I achieved at least a thousand words last night whilst writing in bed! I do all my best thinking at night when I'm going to bed xD
I have yet to actually type it up on my MS Word doc and then put it on NaNo for the word count... I'll have to update that laterz =P

War: You know, its really hard to eat noodles with a spoon.
That is an unimportant subject though, more inportantly is that I have gone over my story and gave myself a rough draft of its plot line and character develepments. I also have only 2120 word so far, as such, I am behind on how much i should have alread so its back to writing.

Well, I can't say exactly how many words I've actually written so far, and I also got wrapped up in a Manga before I went to bed, so I'm not really sure if I'm doing so well. I have yet to type up the other half of my novel which would make it only my second time typing it up on the computer. I'm not sure if that should worry me or not, but I'm going to say that I should probably step up and get some serious writing done. As Bex has already stated, she does her best thinking at night. In response to that, I would have to say that I do my bestest ever thinking in the shower XD

Hey, Bex here (Or Fictiious.Reality91) starting off the beginning of this crazy thing with a sort of explanation of what this blog is!
Welcome to NaNo WriMo SloMo! (National Novel Writing Month, Slow Motion xD), a place where you can read about me and my friends' first year of NaNo and where we can hit SloMo and relax a bit after all the typing we've done, or just to warm our fingers up!
